Koh Phrao Nok ‘Ghost resort’ – Thailand
Nearest city: Salakphet bay, Koh Chang
A small, uninhabited island lying just off Salakphet Bay, Koh Phrao Nok is feared by local fishermen who call it “Ko Phi”—the Ghost Island. According to coastal lore, a 19th-century shipwreck left dozens dead on its reef, and the restless spirits still wander the shore. Night fishers report misty human-shaped figures, drifting lantern-lights, and sudden drops in temperature as their boats pass the channel. Some Thai paranormal investigators have captured unexplained orbs and EVP voices on the island, though no permanent settlement has ever succeeded there. Even today, many locals refuse to anchor near Koh Phrao Nok after sundown.
