Built in 1868 for industrialist Hart Massey, the Keg Mansion is now a bustling restaurant but it remains one of Toronto’s most haunted sites. The most famous spirit is that of a maid who allegedly hanged herself in the front foyer after Massey’s death; her apparition has been seen swinging from the staircase or vanishing into thin air. Patrons and staff also report spectral children playing in the upstairs rooms, flickering chandeliers, and footsteps echoing through the second floor when it’s closed.
