Case Overview

What happened at Con Rít?

The Con Rít, or “sea centipede,” is a terrifying marine cryptid from Vietnamese folklore. Described as a giant, many-legged creature up to 60 feet long, it is said to surface near coastal villages and fishing boats. The first detailed report came in the late 19th century, when French officials recorded accounts of a massive, armored, centipede-like animal washed ashore.
