Dow Hill Forest – India

Located in the misty hills of Kurseong near Darjeeling, Dow Hill Forest is considered one of India’s most haunted places. The forest surrounds the old Victoria Boys’ High School, where locals and students have long reported footsteps echoing through empty corridors and ghostly figures seen from classroom windows. The stretch of road known as “Death Road” cutting through the forest is linked to repeated sightings of a headless boy, said to vanish among the trees. Woodcutters and travelers describe feeling watched, with sudden drops in temperature and whispering voices. Dow Hill remains a central feature in Indian paranormal documentaries and regional folklore.
