Local residents claimed to see a strange, cigar-shaped craft and encountered mysterious, humanoid creatures described as having large heads and red eyes. Brazilian authorities officially denied any extraterrestrial involvement, but witnesses including firefighters and military personnel maintain their accounts. The case is often called “Brazil’s Roswell” and remains one of the most famous and controversial UFO stories in South America.
