Valley of the Kings – Egypt

Valley of the Kings – Egypt

Nearest city: Luxor, Luxor Governorate

For over 500 years, the Valley of the Kings served as the burial ground of New Kingdom pharaohs, housing tombs of Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Seti I and dozens more—each protected by sacred rituals, priests, and carved warnings to deter intruders. Modern workers and night guards report seeing robed figures carrying torches along the cliffs, only for the lights to vanish at the valley floor. Others speak of whispered chanting echoing from sealed tomb shafts and a tall shadow that appears near KV62 (Tutankhamun’s tomb) during the quietest hours. Archaeologists staying near the site have described dreams of processions of priests walking into the rock, as if continuing burial rites thousands of years after the fact.
