The Red Onion Saloon – USA
Nearest city: Skagway, Alaska

Built in 1898 during the Klondike Gold Rush as a saloon, dance hall, and bordello, the Red Onion is famous for its upstairs “brothel museum” and the old practice of placing dolls in the windows to signal when “ladies were working”.The most repeated haunting claims centre on Lydia (often described as a former madam/worker who still “checks” the upstairs rooms) and an entity locals call the “Smelly Man,” with staff/visitors reporting footsteps on the upper floor, sudden cold patches, and an oppressive presence near the former rooms.
