South Stack Lighthouse – Wales
Nearest city: Holyhead, Anglesey

South Stack Lighthouse is most closely associated with the ghost of lighthouse keeper Jack Jones, who was fatally injured during a violent storm in October 1853 after being struck on the head by a falling rock while crossing the bridge to the island. He was found collapsed outside the lighthouse door the next morning and died two weeks later; since then, knocking on doors, banging on windows, and footsteps have been reported at night. The haunting gained modern attention after the lighthouse featured on Most Haunted, during which an object was allegedly thrown at host Yvette Fielding.
