Old Isegami Tunnel – Japan
Nearest city: Okazaki–Shinshiro mountain road, Aichi Prefecture

The Old Isegami Tunnel is one of Aichi’s most notorious haunted road tunnels, long associated with stories of a woman in white who appears near the entrance and a headless motorcyclist seen in rear-view mirrors before vanishing. Built as an older mountain passage and later bypassed by a newer route, the tunnel gained a reputation after repeated accounts of car radios malfunctioning, sudden engine trouble, footsteps echoing inside the tunnel, and figures standing just beyond headlight range. Local ghost-hunters and urban explorers frequently conduct night EVP sessions here, claiming responses, cold spots, and unexplained sounds, which has kept the tunnel circulating in Japanese paranormal blogs and YouTube investigations as one of the region’s classic “drive-through haunt” locations.
