Case Overview

What happened at Old Changi Hospital?

Built in 1935 as a military hospital, Old Changi became notorious during the Japanese occupation of World War II, when the Kempeitai (military police) allegedly used its underground bunkers and wards as torture chambers. After it closed in 1997, the abandoned hospital quickly earned a reputation as Singapore’s most haunted place. Explorers report screams and cries echoing in the empty corridors, apparitions of Japanese soldiers, and shadowy figures lurking in the basement. The ghost of a “white lady” is said to roam the old wards, and paranormal investigators often cite the site as a hotspot for violent energy.
