New Bethel Cemetery – USA
Nearest city: Eckville, Pennsylvania
Tucked into rural woodland near Eckville, New Bethel Cemetery is best known for the legend of the “Blue-Eyed Six,” a group of men who insured a neighbour and murdered him in 1879—one of whom is buried here and believed to stir the cemetery’s hauntings. Visitors report seeing a tall figure in period clothing moving between the stones, along with blue mist drifting above the older graves after rain. Local folklore also tells of a phantom dog that patrols the boundary fence, growling at intruders before disappearing into the hillside. Night walkers frequently hear footsteps crunching on gravel and muffled voices near the veterans’ section, despite the cemetery being completely empty.
