Case Overview

What happened at Neudahn Castle?

Perched on a sandstone spur above Dahn, Neudahn was built before 1240, rebuilt after war damage and finally ruined by French troops in 1689. Local lore and ghost-hunting videos talk of a robber-baron dungeon beneath the castle and nighttime footsteps and cold spots in the lower works; the signed hiking loop even passes a rock dubbed “Satan’s Boulder,” which fuels the site’s eerie reputation.
