North of Turin, Mount Musinè is known across Italy for decades of unexplained lights and UFO sightings, especially during the 1950s–1970s. In 1978 a Carabinieri officer investigating a strange glow on the slopes suffered burns of unknown origin, a case reported by Italian newspapers. Hikers still describe flickering orbs, sudden magnetic-compass shifts, and nocturnal sounds near the summit. Archaeological remains of ancient sanctuaries add to its aura of mystery, making Musinè a long-standing landmark in Italian UFO and folklore circles.
