Founded in the early 19th century by French Count Charles Joseph de Lopinot, this former cocoa estate is steeped in legend. Locals say the Count himself still rides through the grounds on horseback at night, his ghostly figure vanishing into the old cocoa trees. Visitors also report eerie drumming, shadowy apparitions, and the unsettling sense of being watched, making Lopinot one of Trinidad’s most famous haunted sites.
