Case Overview

What happened at Kiyotaki Tunnel?

Constructed in 1927–28, Kiyotaki Tunnel is infamous for ghost stories linked to deadly working conditions and alleged executions during its construction. Visitors continue to report sightings of a woman in white, sudden temperature drops, and eerie phenomena, especially at night. Its length (444m) is considered unlucky in Japan, and local forums and news sources regularly discuss new incidents and accidents at the site. Sightings remain frequent, with activity reported on Reddit and Japanese social media as recently as 2024.
