Katanga Giant Snake – Republic of the Congo

Local hunters and missionaries have described giant snakes over 30 feet, with stories of them toppling trees and ambushing prey along riverbanks. In the 1950s, Belgian fighter pilot Remy Van Lierde reported seeing a massive serpent in Katanga, estimating it at nearly 50 feet.
