Some locals believe it is the result of a circus chimpanzee breeding with alligators, while others see it as Louisiana’s own Bigfoot. With dozens of reported sightings, strange tracks, and campfire legends, the Honey Island Swamp Monster has become one of the Deep South’s most enduring cryptids.
