Hell fire Club – Ireland
Nearest city: Rathfarnham, Dublin
Built in 1725 from stones taken from a Neolithic tomb, the Hell Fire Club was once a hunting lodge for Dublin’s elite—later infamous for occult rituals, heavy drinking, and rumored devil worship. According to legend, a mysterious black-clad stranger joined a late-night card game, only to reveal cloven hooves beneath the table before vanishing in flames. The building was gutted by fire soon after, and has been associated with poltergeist activity, animal mutilations, and ghostly figures seen in its arched windows. Modern paranormal groups have recorded EVPs, shadow forms, and unexplained cold pockets inside the ruin, keeping Montpelier Hill one of Ireland’s most visited—and feared—haunted sites.
