Greenbush Cemetery – USA

Nearest city: Lafayette, Indiana

Founded in 1848, Greenbush is Lafayette’s oldest cemetery and the final resting place of Civil War soldiers, early settlers, and victims of local tragedy. A Halloween train wreck in 1864 reportedly left dozens of Union soldiers buried here, and visitors claim their spirits still linger among the headstones. Paranormal reports include shadow figures darting between graves, phantom footsteps following late-night visitors, and disembodied voices heard near the older sections. Ghost hunters rank Greenbush as one of Indiana’s most active cemeteries, where history and haunting collide.
