Glenbarr Homestead – Australia
Nearest city: Strathalbyn, South Australia
Built in 1842 by Scottish pioneers and held for generations by the Rankine family, Glenbarr Homestead sits just outside Strathalbyn and is now a heritage-listed stay/event site. Paranormal reports repeatedly cluster around a woman seen in a front bedroom window holding a lantern, footsteps overhead, and sounds like a child playing on the stairs, with investigators also flagging the chapel/barn (linked in local retellings to a boy’s fatal accident) and an underground cellar described as “dark,” where an elderly male entity is sometimes reported.
