Alaska Bushman – USA
Nearest city: Homer, Alaska

While Bigfoot sightings span much of Alaska, the Lake Iliamna region is notable for reports of a large, hairy, bipedal creature known locally as the Alaskan Bushman or Tornit. Indigenous legends describe Tornits as once coexisting with humans before retreating into the wilderness after a violent encounter. Modern sightings near Iliamna include reports of massive footprints, eerie howls and shadowy figures seen near the lake’s forested edges. Sightings continue to be shared on Reddit, cryptid forums and local interviews.
