Case Overview
What happened at Manohar International Airport?
The most documented phenomena are the “phantom passengers”—shadowy figures seen by ground crew in the terminal corridors during the early morning hours (2:00 AM to 4:00 AM) when no flights are scheduled. Staff have reported the sound of disembodied walking on the polished floors and EVPs of a localized dialect (Konkani) being spoken in the baggage claim area when it is completely empty. Pilots and air traffic controllers have occasionally noted unexplained “visual artifacts” near the runway lights that do not appear on radar, which local residents attribute to the disturbed ancestral shrines that were moved during the airport’s development. The “hotspot” for investigators is the staff transit area, where the air is noted for being unnaturally cold and heavy, a sharp contrast to the humid Goa climate outside.
