Scheffler Palace & Spökparken – Sweden
Nearest city: Vasastan, Stockholm

Commonly known as Spökslottet (The Ghost Castle), this 17th-century estate is anchored by the 18th-century disappearance of merchant Hans Petter Scheffler, whose body was reportedly never found. The most notorious hotspot is the “Walled-In Room,” where a priest allegedly collapsed and died during a failed exorcism; modern university staff now use the building but report a “heavy, static-charged” atmosphere that causes digital clocks to run backward. The adjacent Spökparken is haunted by a “Suave Gentleman” in period dress and a “Lady in White” seen gliding toward the Orangerie. Modern activity includes the sound of phantom operatic singing echoing through the gardens at 2:00 AM and the sudden, violent shattering of mirrors within the palace ballroom. Recent 2024 paranormal vlogs have documented “intelligent” knocks in the cellar and thermal anomalies that match the silhouette of a man leaning against the park’s iron gates.
