Case Overview

What happened at Montjuïc Cemetery?

Carved into the side of a cliff, this “City of the Dead” is haunted by the Gothic Mourner, a veiled female figure seen weeping near the silent, moss-covered pantheons. The cemetery is famous for its “Kiss of Death” statue, which many claim radiates a localized cold spot that kills the batteries of cameras and phones instantly. Night watchmen have documented “whispering winds” that form coherent Spanish phrases even on breathless, still nights. Modern activity centers around the Cemetery of the Unnamed, where shadow figures are frequently caught on high-speed film darting between the tiers of niches. Recent urban legends speak of “The Guard,” a spectral man in a tattered 1920s uniform who stares at visitors from the upper paths before vanishing into thin air.
