Case Overview
What happened at Kennebunk Inn?
Built in 1799 as a tavern and stagecoach stop, The Kennebunk Inn has hosted presidents, poets—and at least three ghosts. The most active is Silas Perkins, a former clerk whose voice and footsteps are often heard near the front desk. Guests also report a woman in period clothing roaming the third floor and a mischievous spirit in the kitchen who moves utensils and slams drawers. Paranormal teams have captured disembodied whispers and cold spots around Room 17, believed to be the heart of the haunting. Still operating today, the inn embraces its spectral residents as warmly as its living guests.
