Happy Valley Forest – Canada
Nearest city: King Township, Ontario
Spanning more than 1,600 hectares of protected woodland, Happy Valley Forest is one of Ontario’s last remaining tracts of Carolinian forest. In the 1970s and 1980s, reports emerged of late-night bonfires, hooded gatherings, and animal remains arranged in ritual patterns near the forest’s core, leading locals to dub it “The Devil’s Valley.” Hikers continue to describe disembodied footsteps on the gravel trails, sudden drops in temperature, and a pulsing red glow seen through the trees with no clear source. Paranormal investigators visiting the site have captured distorted EVPs and thermal spikes near the old service road leading to the valley floor. Regional folklore links the activity to early settler burial plots scattered throughout the forest, some dating back to the 1820s.
