Case Overview
What happened at The Ho Chi Minh Fine Arts Museum?
Housed in a 1929 French colonial mansion once owned by the wealthy Hua family, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum is famed as much for its hauntings as for its art. Legend holds that Hua Bon Hoa’s daughter, cursed with leprosy, was secretly confined to the upper floors until her death—and her spirit never left. Staff and visitors report cold drafts, flickering lights, and the apparition of a pale woman gazing from shuttered windows after closing hours. Despite renovations and official denials, the site remains a staple of Saigon’s ghost tours and one of Vietnam’s most frequently reported urban hauntings.
