Hexenwald – “Witch’s Forest” – Germany
Nearest city: Uetersen, Schleswig-Holstein
Bordering Langes Tannen Park in Uetersen, this small woodland has been known as the Hexenwald since at least the 18th century. Local records mention a clearing once associated with witch gatherings and ritual fires. Residents in the 1950s reported midday hissing sounds in the same area, said to come from the “witch’s cauldron.” Modern visitors describe electronic interference, disorientation, and a sense of pressure in the air near the central path. Paranormal groups from Hamburg have recorded short EMF spikes and distorted audio on night surveys, but no natural explanation has been identified.
