Corpsewood Manor – USA

Nearest city: Chattooga County, Georgia

Hidden in the wooded hills outside Summerville, the crumbling remains of Corpsewood Manor mark the site of a notorious double murder that still grips local memory. Built in the 1970s by Dr. Charles Scudder, a former Loyola University professor, and his partner Joseph Odom, the isolated brick home became surrounded by rumors of occult activity due to its unusual décor and Scudder’s interest in alchemy. In December 1982, both men were killed during a violent robbery that turned the property into a crime-scene legend. Urban explorers and paranormal researchers who visit the ruins report cold spots, faint voices, and camera malfunctions, making Corpsewood a staple of Southern ghost-hunting circles and online investigations.
