Zanfretta UFO Incident – Italy

On December 6, 1978, Italian night watchman Pier Fortunato Zanfretta claimed to have encountered a massive UFO while on patrol near Torriglia. He described being surrounded by towering reptilian-like beings nearly 3 meters tall with mottled skin and glowing eyes. Over the next two years, Zanfretta reported 11 separate abductions, corroborated by burn marks on the ground, dozens of witnesses who saw strange lights, and polygraph tests that he passed. Despite ridicule, his consistency and physical evidence make the case one of Italy’s most famous UFO mysteries, inspiring books, documentaries, and ongoing debate.
