Visitors report apparitions of spectral miners roaming abandoned saloons and boardwalks, while the “lady in white” is said to drift through the old opera house. Disembodied voices, phantom piano music, and cold spots add to the atmosphere, especially after dark. Today the town operates as a living museum, where history and ghostly legend intertwine.
