Case Overview
What happened at Bennington Triangle?
Coined by author Joseph A. Citro, the Bennington Triangle centers on Glastenbury Mountain and nearby towns in southwestern Vermont. Between 1945 and 1950, at least five people mysteriously vanished here, including college student Paula Welden, whose disappearance remains unsolved. Witnesses report strange lights, disembodied voices, and shadowy figures in the dense wilderness, while Native Abenaki legends speak of a cursed, enchanted land where the earth itself swallows people whole. The region is now a magnet for hikers, paranormal investigators, and true-crime enthusiasts drawn to its eerie reputation.
