Storsjöodjuret – Sweden

Said to inhabit Lake Storsjön, this lake monster has been reported since the 17th century. Descriptions vary from a long serpent with humps to a dragon-like beast with a dog’s head. Eyewitnesses have continued into modern times, and in 2008 a surveillance project using underwater cameras was launched to try to capture evidence, keeping Sweden’s most famous cryptid firmly in public attention.
