The most famous spirit is Anne, a woman said to have died by suicide after heartbreak, possibly by leaping from a third-floor window into the brick courtyard below. Room 204 is the epicenter of activity, with guests reporting moved belongings, tugged bedcovers, crying sounds, and even missing jewelry later found in odd places. While Anne’s exact historical identity remains disputed, her presence is consistently reported. Other spirits include Thaddeus, a friendly ghost who leaves pennies around the tavern, and a hostile kitchen entity believed to be a former voodoo practitione; known for throwing pots and harassing female staff.
