Occurring on May 10, 1978, in the quiet rural farmland of eastern Poland, the Emilcin Abduction stands as the nation’s premier, officially memorialized alien encounter. 71-year-old farmer Jan Wolski was driving his horse-drawn cart along a dirt road near the woods when he noticed two short, olive-skinned humanoid entities with webbed hands, dark green overalls, and slanted eyes walking alongside his wagon. The entities boarded his cart, spoke in a rapid, high-pitched unintelligible dialect, and signaled for him to accompany them into a small glade where a translucent, hum-free, hovering metallic craft with four wheel-like appendages glided five feet above the ground.

Wolski was led up a small platform elevator into the craft’s interior, where he underwent a brief, non-invasive physical examination involving black, square-like sensory instruments. The entities offered him a translucent, roll-like food substance—which Wolski politely declined—before allowing him to leave unharmed.
