Opened in 1851/1852, The Marshall House is Savannah’s oldest operating hotel, and its “medical haunting” reputation is anchored to documented use as a Union-occupied building during 1864–1865 plus later yellow fever-era hospital associations. Guests and staff most often report children running the halls, crying/laughing in empty corridors, faucets turning on by themselves, and shadowy figures in upper-floor hallways.
