1886 Crescent Hotel – USA
Nearest city: Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Built as a luxury resort, the Crescent’s darkest chapter is concrete: in 1937 it was taken over by Norman G. Baker, who ran it as a “cancer hospital/health resort,” later facing federal mail-fraud charges. The best-known named spirit is Michael, an Irish stonemason said to have fallen (or died) during construction and still reported around the upper areas/roofline, while guest lore also fixates on recurring “resident” personalities tied to specific rooms from the hospital and school-era stories.
