Hessdalen Lights – Norway
Nearest city: Hessdalen Valley, Trøndelag

Since the early 1980s, the remote Hessdalen Valley near Lake Hessdalen has been a hotspot for the mysterious Hessdalen Lights—bright, floating orbs that hover, dart, or glide silently above the water and surrounding mountains. The lights range from white and yellow to blue, sometimes appearing for minutes at a time and even splitting or merging mid-air. Scientific teams from Norway and Italy have monitored the valley for decades, capturing radar tracks and long-exposure images showing structured, repeating behaviour with no confirmed explanation. Hessdalen remains one of the world’s most well-documented and persistent natural-UAP phenomena.
