Bukit Brown Cemetery – Singapore
Nearest city: Novena, Central Region

Once the largest Chinese cemetery outside China, Bukit Brown holds more than 100,000 graves dating back to the 1800s. As redevelopment loomed in the 2010s, the site became infamous for ghost stories: visitors report phantom processions, glowing orbs drifting between tombstones, and apparitions of women in white along the winding lanes. Taxi drivers speak of picking up passengers who vanish before reaching their destination, while hikers describe sudden chills and shadowy figures darting among the trees. Today, Bukit Brown is both a cultural heritage site and one of Singapore’s most haunted places.
