Valensole UFO Landing – France

On July 1, 1965, farmer Maurice Masse encountered a landed UFO in his lavender field near Valensole. He described an oval craft on legs and two small humanoid beings in tight-fitting suits who seemed to paralyze him with a device before departing. Investigators found strange impressions in the soil and reported that the lavender plants in the area grew unusually slowly for years afterward. The Valensole case remains one of Europe’s best-known close encounters, frequently cited in UFO literature as evidence of physical trace cases.
