Once the United Verde Hospital (built in 1926), this hilltop building treated thousands of miners before closing in 1950. Since reopening as the Jerome Grand Hotel in 1996, it has become famous for paranormal activity. Guests report doors opening on their own, ghostly moans in the night, and sightings of a shadowy figure thought to be the spirit of a maintenance man who died in the elevator shaft.
