Bhangarh Fort – India

Widely called “India’s most haunted place”, Bhangarh Fort is a 16th-century ruin shrouded in dark legends. Local lore speaks of a sorcerer who cursed the fort after being spurned by a princess, dooming it to collapse and eternal unrest. Visitors report strange noises, eerie shadows, and an oppressive atmosphere after dusk — so much so that the Archaeological Survey of India has placed a sign warning people not to enter the fort after sunset.
