Built in 1888 as Kirkham Castle, this ornate mansion, now called Camelot has been tied to eerie tales since the death of its original owner, James White, who died suddenly only a year after moving in. Staff and visitors have reported the ghostly figure of a woman in white gliding along the grand staircase, mysterious piano music in empty rooms, and cold spots in the old servants’ quarters. The property’s Gothic towers and history have also made it a favourite filming location for period dramas and ghost-themed productions.
