Vulture Mine Ghost Town – USA

Nearest city: Wickenburg, Arizona

Located at 36610 355th Avenue, the Vulture Mine was once the richest gold strike in Arizona history, producing over 340,000 ounces of gold. The resulting settlement, Vulture City, became a concentrated pocket of lawlessness where the lack of formal government led to brutal vigilante justice. The energy of the site is anchored to the “Hanging Tree,” a 200-year-old ironwood that stands as a sentinel in the center of the town ruins. Local history maintains that 18 men were executed here for “high-grading” (stealing gold), and the site is notorious for its residual “gathering” energy. Witnesses report seeing shadowy figures congregating at the base of the tree even in the midday heat, accompanied by a localized drop in temperature and the sound of heavy, rhythmic breathing.

The “hotspot” for intelligent phenomena is the Assay Office, considered the paranormal heart of the ruins. This building is where the gold was processed and guarded, and it is currently reported to be inhabited by an aggressive male presence that “pushes” unwanted visitors toward the exit. Investigators frequently document phantom piano music echoing from the restored saloon and the sound of German-language voices near the mine entrances—a residual loop tied to the European miners who flooded the site in the 1880s. Another high-intensity zone is the “Glory Hole,” the site of a catastrophic 1923 cave-in where seven miners and several burros were buried alive. Visitors near the collapse site report a persistent feeling of nausea and the sound of phantom digging originating from deep beneath the rock, where the victims remain entombed to this day.
