The Old Sorrel- Weed Mansion – USA

Nearest city: Savannah, Georgia

Built in 1837 by architect Charles Cluskey, the Sorrel–Weed House is one of Savannah’s most haunted and historically layered mansions. The home is tied to the tragic deaths of Matilda Sorrel, who allegedly leapt from a balcony after discovering her husband’s affair and Molly, an enslaved woman found hanged in the carriage house. Paranormal reports include apparitions, mirror reflections, phantom parties and choking sensations, especially in the slave quarters and basement. The house also sits atop land used during the Siege of Savannah, where hundreds of soldiers were buried; some reportedly alive — contributing to the site’s dark energy.
