Opened in 1862, Nevada State Prison is one of the oldest correctional facilities in the American West and the site of numerous executions, riots and violent incidents over its long history. Now closed to inmates but open for tours and investigations, the prison is infamous for reports of shadowy figures, phantom footsteps, disembodied voices, and sudden chills.
