Case Overview

What happened at Dyatlov Pass?

In 1959, nine experienced hikers died under mysterious circumstances on the eastern slope of Kholat Syakhl, a mountain whose name means “Dead Mountain” in the indigenous Mansi language. Their tent was found slashed from the inside and several bodies showed signs of extreme trauma, including missing eyes and a tongue, despite no external wounds. Paranormal theories include infrasound-induced panic, military experiments, and cryptid encounters. The site remains a focal point for conspiracy and paranormal speculation.
