Hoia Baciu Forest, on the outskirts of Cluj-Napoca, has been called the “Bermuda Triangle of Romania” due to decades of paranormal reports. Most notably, stories tell of a five-year-old girl who disappeared in the woods and reappeared years later unchanged, as well as a shepherd and his flock vanishing without a trace. Visitors, local guides and paranormal investigators continue to document unexplained phenomena such as glowing orbs, sudden feelings of nausea, disorientation and malfunctioning electronics. Hoia Baciu remains a popular site for ghost tours, with fresh sightings and reports.
