Built in the 1960s on the shores of Lake Suwa, was once a luxury destination before falling into abandonment in the late 1990s. It has become infamous in Japanese urban exploration and paranormal circles for claims of apparitions—especially a woman in white seen in the hallways and chilling sudden temperature drops inside. The site is regularly visited by urban explorers (“haikyo” enthusiasts) and featured in Japanese paranormal media, with recent visitor accounts (as of 2023–2024) describing strange sounds, phantom footsteps and a sense of being watched.
