Mapleton Cemetery, established in the early 1900s in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, is a small, historic graveyard surrounded by forest and rural landscape. Over the years, local residents and some visitors have reported unexplained cold spots, feelings of unease and fleeting shadows among the headstones, especially after dark. Although there are no widely publicized hauntings or paranormal events, the site occasionally appears in local ghost lore and on Australian paranormal blogs.
